Generating more than $20 billion last year, tourism is one of Arizona’s most important industries, and a handful of well-known Arizona tourist attractions recently garnered some national recognition as some of the best in the country.

Pink Jeep Tours, the Black Canyon Trail and the Children’s Museum of Phoenix all have been ranked among the best attractions in the U.S.

TripAdvisor ranked Pink Jeep Tours– which has been promoting Arizona’s natural beauty, giving tours in their iconic brightly colored jeeps in Sedona, Phoenix and the Grand Canyon – as the fourth best tour company in the U.S.

“This esteemed acknowledgement by the top-rated travel site in the world speaks volumes about our commitment to providing a quality experience with excellent customer service, our comprehensive guide training program, and our fleet of cutting-edge vehicles,” said Chris Epper, marketing director at Pink Jeep Tours.

And for those who want to see the state’s canyons, mountains and cactus — but may want to live life on the wild side — the U.S. Bureau of Land Management has named the Black Canyon Trail, an 80-mile ride an hour north of downtown Phoenix, among the top 20 mountain biking trails in the U.S. The BLM has created a national map detailing notable mountain biking trails.

“The BLM is proud to manage some of the world’s best mountain bike trails,” BLM Director Neil Kornze said. “This new, mobile-friendly tool will help the public get a glimpse of these amazing places and plan their rides.”

But Arizona has more to boast about than just its scenery. Arizona’s arts and culture organizations generate almost $600 million annually, and when visiting these organizations, it makes sense. The 48,000-square-foot Children’s Museum of Phoenix ranked third in Early Childhood Education Zone’s “25 Best American Children’s Museums,” placing behind the California Science Center in Los Angeles and the Children’s Museum in Indianapolis.
